A 49er ID card allows access to campus housing, activities and programs, labs, and many other campus services.
The 49er ID card also serves as a meal plan card, library card, and secondary credential for parking.
-
Your ID card also holds funds for your 49er Account and Optional Dining Account (ODA).
To get a 49er ID card, you'll need:
- A student ID number that begins with 800 or 801 (assigned at acceptance; appears on the acceptance letter);
- To be registered for classes;
- Proof of University affiliation such as acceptance letter, class schedule or tuition bill;
- One valid proof of identification such as a driver's license, state-issued ID or passport.
- Upload your ID photo in advance.
- Students attending SOAR will receive an email with important instructions and deadlines for receiving their 49er ID Card. The method to receive your 49er ID Card is dependent upon your housing status:
- Incoming resident students will receive their 49er ID Card when they check in to their residence hall during move-in.
-
Commuters who requested their 49er ID Card to be mailed by the July 20 deadline will receive their card in the mail prior to the start of the fall semester. Commuters who did not request their 49er ID Card to be mailed by the deadline must pick their cards up in the 49er Card Office during business hours.
